Badminton: The US Open has been cancelled owing to Covid-related organisational issues.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced on Tuesday that this year’s US Open has been cancelled owing to logistical issues created by COVID-19.
The U.S. Open, a Super 300 tournament on the BWF World Tour, was scheduled for October 4-9.
“Due to organisational issues arising from COVID-19, USA Badminton decided that it was no longer practicable for them to organise their competition this year,” badminton’s governing body said in a statement.
The competition has been cancelled for the third time in a row due to COVID-19.
